Become a beacon for your next-level clients.

Your next clients are not sitting idle.

They’re circling the skies looking for signs that what they need is down there somewhere. And they’ll swoop down and quickly and decisively snatch up the thing that catches their eye in just the right way.

… yes, I just compared clients to birds of prey. How nice to think of them seeking you versus the other way around?

So, what catches their eye? It’s when they see that something is calling directly to them. Their unique situation. Their problem. Their worldview.

And that’s why specificity is such a powerful strategy for becoming a sought-after brand. You have to send a clear and distinctive beacon out to those clients who are actively, hungrily, seeking the help that you are uniquely equipped to offer.

AND… I know it isn’t always that easy.

I know that you want to help lots of people. And how hard it is to turn people away. I work with lots of clients who crave variety and place high importance on being fiercely inclusive. You might want that, too.

And you can have it… if you’re okay with marketing being a bit harder and taking a little longer. OR once your business is already thriving and you have a large enough following that loves you and your offers.

So it’s not a “do this or else” situation. It’s a tradeoff.

The more specificity you are willing to claim, the easier it is to cut through the noise and get found by clients who want your exact offer.

If you’re wanting client attraction to be easier, it’s about finding your place in the tradeoff. How specific are you willing to go? Will you tailor your business for one specific kind of client? Will you become known for specializing in one specific kind of problem or solution?

It can be both (people and problem/solution). It can be one (people or problem/solution). Either way, it is well worth it.

If you’ve been putting off this decision, reach out and let me know: what stops you from getting more focused with your niche?

Stay Inspired,
Lisa

PS: Specificity helps you attract clients, but I believe it’s equally powerful at helping you serve them. I talk a lot about niching in this really fun interview on Talk with Renee Dalo. It’s a favourite of mine… I hope you’ll check it out!
